It was mom and dad longest travel ever, total around 36 hours travel with 3 transits in between, I was worry about them.
Arriving almost midnight, they were too tired and fall asleep right after shower. The next day, mom and dad proudly told me they were cool, shouldn't have any jetlag problem during breakfast.
But...at 10.30am, look what were they doing?
With mommy in the house, I had been down graded to become kitchen hand assisting my Chef Mom.
Hooray!!! Mommy in the kitchen!!! Bringing home taste to Austin!
With mom and dad in the apartment, it felt more like back home now.
Back home we have dim sum and tea for breakfast, here we have pancake and coffee. Dad was surprised with the big portion, he said it more like a breakfast + lunch. Haha....
My brothers kept telling me that I must bring mom and dad for some real American food. And so, I brought them for Texas Roadhouse Steak! Before going, dad said he wanted to order a T-bone steak and I looked at him like so surprise. He said that's what he used to order back home. End up I ordered a 10oz hand-cut steak and he barely can finish it. He still not get used to US size meal yet.
On the other hand, my cute mommy adjusted well to the new environment enjoying good shopping even at the grocery store.
Seafood dinner at Red Lobster for little boss birthday celebration.
The never miss the barbecue when visiting Texas and in Austin we have this well-known Salt Lick barbecue. With all the meats on the pit, you could smell it from mile. And what I like the most, it's a bring your own beer restaurant!
Look at the meat! This is what we called barbecue!!!
Mom and dad first time ever on Mexican food at the famous Mexican restaurant by the riverside of San Antonio downtown.
We purposely bring them to the Hooters cause you can't find any restaurant like this back in Malaysia. :p
Waitress are hot but the food really so so.
A Texas country style lunch at the historic old German town, Fredericksburg. They have the whole restaurant painted with nice wall paint.
Happy mommy shooting photos around while waiting for our order.
Mom told me Americans really eat a lot of chips!
After so much of American food, daddy started to complain. He missed home food!
And so, we brought them to Asian all you can eat and they loved it!!!
Hong Kong style dim sum at Austin, does it taste like back home?
Look where they naturally go when they were in any food court.
After all, dad told me this is the best throughout the his trip in US, the Vietnamese beef noodle soup!!!
My beloved chef mom was rocking my kitchen with all yummy home food!
We had the cute little BBQ pork bun in house! Austin was so happy when having it as breakfast.
This is my all time favorite! Still kept few of them in my fridge and take one at a time when I missed home.
